The China End Goal… 📊

Trump's Early China Hawks: The Trump administration started with strong anti-China voices like Marco Rubio and Mike Waltz, both known for their aggressive stance on confronting China's global influence.

Geostrategic Moves: Greenland & Panama: Trump raised interest in Greenland (due to its rare earth minerals) and concern over China’s control of ports on both sides of the Panama Canal, viewing both as key to countering China’s strategic positioning.

Tariffs on Canada & Mexico: Initial tariffs on Canada and Mexico seemed odd, but were designed to stop China from using those countries to bypass U.S. tariffs. The USMCA trade deal included a clause requiring notification if Canada or Mexico made trade deals with China.

Broad Tariff Expansion to Cut Off China: Trump recently announced sweeping global tariffs, especially targeting Asian countries. Despite market turmoil, he’s focused on Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea—likely to build a regional alliance to cut China out of global trade.

Goal: Isolate China's Exports & Realign Supply Chains: With China’s economy weakening and reliant on exports, Trump appears to be orchestrating global tariff pressure against China, encouraging allies to reorganize supply chains and push China further into economic isolation.
